NACC Newsletter – June 2025

JUNE  2025  NEWSLETTER

"43 years of Conservation"

NACC’s next meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 7 pm in the club house.

We would like to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day on June 15.

CLEAN UP PROPERTY prior to this meeting at 5 PM.  We still have some autumn olive trees to cut, and some trimming along the parking lot and Con-X storage area to do.  Gutters to clean, and some gate painting when weather permits.  It rained last month!!!

Gun Raffle - Drawing  This Meeting, June 11 for a Henry Golden Boy Silver, 22 caliber rifle or $625 store credit. It is time to get all raffle tickets turned into Richard Kuebel.

Our 37th Annual Fishing Derby at  Lake in the Pines from Dale's report at the meeting. We gad 108 sponsors this year and they donated cash, merchandise & gift cards and certificates. The sponsorship total value was $9509.34. Of the donations we gave away to participants a total value of $4206.97, which included the award prizes (32) and the door prizes.  The balance of the donation value went towards paying bills and expenses, buying tip board and raffle prizes. About 100 door prize items were left over for 2026, along with a little cash for start up next year.  We took in $ 1100.00 at registration,  tip boards bought  in $541.00, and the raffle made $470.00.  All told we were down 13% from last year.  We still have some derby hats left .... if you would like one, stop by the meeting and pick one up. Next years derby will be chaired by Jennifer Klump, as Dale's stepping down from that position, but will be available to mentor if needed.   Your continued support of the derby is very much appreciated and will help with our continued success.

SCATTER BOARD Squares are available to purchase at the meeting,  Two dollars per square.   Winner takes $35.00 of it.

NACC made a donation of $50 to each of  the three All Saints Church Picnic Raffles, St. Paul's, St. Martin's  & St. John's.

We are still working on our new logo to be used with the making of our club flag.  Draft #3 and draft #4 were posted  on our Facebook Page for all to view. We are hoping for a final decision maybe this month.  We thought we had the decision last month, but we overlooked one aspect that was brought to our attention after the meeting.  So now draft #4.

This past Memorial Day I had the privilege of attending the North Dearborn American Legion, (New Alsace) memorial service at the St. Paul's Church Cemetary.  The Legion Members and Auxiliary did an outstanding job of honoring our veterans who are no longer with us.  They did a roll call of those laid to rest here totaling, I think 103 beginning with the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, and those  from 1980 until present. I was moved by all the names I recognized from when I was a little kid riding my bike to the grocery store here  in  town.  And there were many friends and members there to witness and honor and  to remember their family loved one.  Next year, take the time to attend a local service if you can.  You won't regret it!

As we are nearing the beginning of summer, as time flies by, here is a little reminder that our club is in need of a new treasurer beginning the 2026 year. Richard Kueble has been our treasurer for over the past 10 years and has notified us that he will no longer be available to do this job.  So this is a call to each and every member of NACC, to volunteer, to encourage a member, to find a new member to fulfill the treasurer job this coming fall election.  All suggestions are welcome and  discussions  will be heard at the executive board's semi-annual board meeting in July.
