NACC’s next meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 7 pm in the club house.
CLEAN UP DAY Saturday, MARCH 14 was a nice day, only Jon showed up. One guy can only do so much!!! Another day needs scheduled. The yards need cleaned, tree limbs cut back, gutters cleaned, clean garage out, bee habitat cleaned, Autumn Olive trees cut down across pond, deck walkway improvements, fallen trees cut up. Then another day at Tanners Creek Property.
Our 38th Fishing Derby committee did a great job to complete the sponsor solicitation by the deadline. . Posters are to be printed and available for distribution by April 2nd. All committed sponsor donations will need to be collected the first week of April, so items can be purchased. Many sponsors have mailed theirs in!
Our 38th Annual Fishing Derby is May 2. at Lake in the Pines. The derby starts at 7am and ends at 3pm with awards following. Registration will begin at 6 am derby day and continue until 12:30.We have a lot of great prizes again this year for the Adult 12 and older category where the fee is $20.00 and the Children under 12 category that are free to register. Each category will be fishing for Catfish, Bass and Blue Gill and judged by the biggest fish by weight. We also have a Special Catch prize for the 1st Tagged Catfish turned in. And we will have lots of door prizes to give away for those registered fishermen. The club will have a lunch stand at the pavilion for your convenience. Rain or shine we look forward to seeing you at the derby, bring your kids, grand kids and friends for an enjoyable day. No license required. We have included a derby flyer for you to put up, to help get the word out. Rain or Shine…..
DERBY WORKERS – FRIDAY EVENING, MAY 1 MEET AT 5 PM AT THE CLUB HOUSE TO SETUP FOR DERBYSATURDAY MORNING at club house ARRIVE BY 5:30 AM because registration begins at 6 am. Last years workers should wear their orange NACC work shirt that was given to them. Any new volunteer workers should contact Dale. We do have new hats for this year’s derby !!!
SATURDAY MORNING at Pavilion arrive no later than 6:30 am – derby starts at 7 am.
Gun Raffle on June 10th. tickets are available at this upcoming meeting. Help is need to sell some of these. Only 250 tickets are sold at $10 each. Winner has a choice of: Ruger American Gen 2 Rifle, any Caliber in stock at the Rusty Buck or a In Store Credit.
The club approved the purchase of 2 dozen hats, 1 dozen of Heather gray with black mesh back with our logo embroidered on it and 1 dozen of Real Tree Camo solid hat with our logo embroidered on it. They could arrive by our meeting, Cost range from $17 to $20, won’t know until we get the bill… you can purchase at the meetings when available.
NEW NACC ITEM FOR PURCHASE– We are taking orders now – Hooded Sweatshirt, with full zipper and pockets in front and our 12″ Logo silkscreen on the back. A minimum order of 24 is needed to guarantee our price quote and set up fee. Currently we have 23 orders….. It may be awhile before we can get another order together, so now is your opportunity. Info Pictures available at meeting, we posted info on our Facebook page a couple of weeks ago. You don’t have to be a member to order! The Logo will be silkscreen-ed in solid gold color,(one color) on back. So you have a choice of darker colors of the hooded sweatshirt to choose from. They are: Charcoal Cool Gray, Dark Chocolate Brown, Dark Green, Dark Heather Grey, Heather Navy, Jet Black, Navy, & Purple. All will go good with our logo. All Adult sizes: small, medium, large & x-large Cost $29.38. 2X- large cost $30.79. And 3X-large cost $33.93. We would like to get our order filled and completed at this meeting, so it can be place. The club members approved to Sponsor the East Central High School Fishing Club with a donation of $500
We will be shooting the Scatter Board this meeting to finally get a winner.
Thanks to “Hoppie”, Gary Buckhave for picking up our tree seedling order at Vallonia State Nursery again this year.
