SOMETHING NEW: NACC CAMP OUT AT THE CLUB, on OCTOBER 12-13, Saturday & Sunday. Camp out, Chili Cook Off, Clay Bird Shoot and Corn Hole Tournament. Members, Friends and Family are welcome to come. Primitive Camping only! If you are bringing a camper or tent, please RSVP Jennifer Klump 812-560-3833 Camping – please arrive before 10am. Clay Bird Shoot at noon, Corn hole tournament at 5pm. Please bring Chili to share, or your favorite dish! Let’s have some fall fun, just come and enjoy the day.

Our Annual Tree Seedling ordering deadline has past. We ordered 400 trees, but will have to wait to see if those are in stock.

Eagle Scout Project of Dillon Rullman update: Construction has begun ! Donations to the project are up to $20,70.00. More needed.

NACC’s 18th Annual Golf Outing held September 7 was another successful event. Committee members, Casey, Slugger and George would like to thank everyone for their support.

Winners:

1st Place Team – Rick Murphy, Brent Murphy, Larry Decker, Brandon Decker.

2nd Place was tied and decided as:

2nd Place Team – “Smoothy”, Dave Bischoff, Eric Hartman, Steve Lampert, Zack Powell.

3rd Place Team – Rick Hartman, Dan Hartman, Mitch Wilgenbush, Tim Chaffe.

Women Longest Drive – Sharon Bischoff.

Men Longest Drive – Kyle Pierson.

Closest to the Pin on #7 – Linden Brandes.

Closest to the Pin on #11 – Kim Pursifull.

There were no winners on “PromCo.” Hole in one on #16 or “Promo Co.” Dice game on #3. Split the Putt Winner out of 16 entries was Linden Brandes. All proceeds go towards sending 5th & 6th grade students to the Karl E. Kelly Conservation Officers Camp next June. Casey will present the financial results at the upcoming meeting. Mark your calendar – 2025 Golf Outing is September20th.

SCATTER BOARD WINNER-No winner last month.

Club House was closed on Saturday, September 28 for the Rosemeyer wedding reception. We’re sorry it didn’t make the previous letter.

IWF – Indiana Wildlife Federation published their Summer Magazine edition, which is available for reading online at their website – www.indianawildlife.org.

DNR – as fall arrives, so does many hunting seasons. Be extra safe if your outdoors hiking to enjoy the fall colors. Wear reflective orange or green so others will notice you!

DNR– The Indiana Natural Resources Commission has opened public comment for proposed changes to allow the limited, regulated trapping of bobcats. Public comments can be submitted at IN.gov/nrc/rules/rulemaking-docket . Comments can also be mailed to the Natural Resources Commission. Deadline is November 14, 2024. For more information on the proposed rule changes and submitting comments, visit on.in.gov/dfw-rule-changes .

DNR – Deer Updates – EHD, Epizootic hemorrhagic disease, a naturally occurring viral disease transmitted by biting midges, also known as sand gnats. DNR found significant outbreaks again in 3 northern counties, as they did last year in southeastern counties this last year. And they are reducing the Bonus Deer quotas to 1 in each county as they did in Dearborn, Ripley & Ohio last year.
