NACC’s next meeting to be held on Wednesday, March 13, at 7 pm in the club house.

Work Day Scheduled SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 9 AM – We need to clean the property and prepare for mowing season. Cut back a few trees by the Con X storage unit. Clean the Rain Garden, Till up a patch below the dam for some Native plant seeding. So your help is needed and very much appreciated. Bring some tools to work with.

NACC will be distributing our GUN RAFFLE TICKETS at this meeting……Raffle is to be held on June 12, 2024 at the club house meeting. We are giving away a Winchester XPR Hunter .243 22″, Blued and Mossy Oak Camo, and an option for In store Credit if you don’t need that particular rifle. We are only selling 250 tickets. Each Ticket cost $10.00. Let us know if you need tickets!!!

Trustees reported that our Tanner’s Creek property had been cleared on the REMC right of way a few weeks back. Trustee, Gutz had contacted them about destroying all the vegetation and warm season grasses we had planted there. Gutz was told, they will come back and replant with habitat seed. Trustees were able to burn a good portion of the cattails on our pond to keep them under control.

Scattered Board Winner, which was finished out at super bowl party, was Larry Fisher “Fish”. We’ll be starting another !

One camper has canceled out. So, NACC now has registered 11 children in the 5th or 6th grade who will be attending the Indiana Conservation Officer Organization’s – ICOO Karl Kelly Youth Conservation Camp this summer. MAYBE YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO GO TO CAMP… TO FILL THAT VACANCY…. LET US KNOW BY THE MEETING !!!!

Fishing Derby Sponsors – Dale and Jennifer along with the derby committee are soliciting for sponsors now to support the derby. The DEADLINE FOR SPONSORS MAKING THE POSTER BOARD IS MARCH 20. COMMITTEE MEMBERS GET YOUR COMMITMENTS TURNED IN. Don’t be late!! We do take sponsors after the deadline, they don’t get on the poster this year. Our schedule is to have posters and flyers available by April first. You can get details of the fishing derby on our website to share.

We are announcing today, that NACC Lunch Stand at this years’ fishing derby, May 4th will be partnering with the local Girl Scouts to help them raise funds to support their local activities. Thanks Jennifer for bringing this opportunity to the club’s attention.

NACC is now collecting membership dues for the 2024 year. If your not paid up, please do so. Thanks to those who have paid. The board would like to thank everyone who came out for the super bowl party…. largest crowd we have had! All had a great time!

Indiana DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife proposed changes to the rules governing deer hunting and river otter trapping at the Natural Resources Commission (NRC) meeting on Jan. 23, 2024. For a better understanding go to DNR Fish & wildlife/ Rules & Regulation Changes on their website. Here is a few items of concern/change: A single license for archery & crossbow. Create a Multiple season antlerless deer license. Create a statewide antlerless bag limit. Change County Bonus Antlerless Quota to a County
Antlerless Bag Limit Proposing the use of .40 caliber muzzle loader. Allow hunters the use of thermal or infrared detectors to retrieve dead deer, but no to be used when hunting deer. Remove the late Antlerless Firearm Season. A few copies available at the meeting.
