For those interested or in need… There are DNR Hunter’s Education Classes being held June 10 at the Friendship National Muzzleloader Organization site. And on August 2 Hunter’s Education Classes being held by the Laughery Valley Fish & Game Club on Friendship Rd.

Our club made a $50 donation to each of the following All Saints Church Picnic Raffles. St. Paul’s, St. Martin, & St. John’s.

Eagle Scout Project of Dillon Rullman update – some monies for the Flag Pole Project have begun to trickle in for the project. As a member of our club, your support of this scout project can be a great way for you to contribute to our club’s appearance and recognize all the years of hard work and dedication by Dillon in achieving his Eagle Scout Status. Won’t you please consider a donation?

Our 36th Annual Fishing Derby in May was another successful community event. A big thank you goes out to all who worked the derby, all who came to fish, all who sponsored our event. And a special thanks to Lake in the Pine owners Neil & Christy Roy. We had 188 registered fisherman, of which 137 were adults and 51were children under 12. We gave away Prize awards to winners and Door prizes to all participants valued at $4789.00. Our club recorded a profit of $4347.19 from the Registration, Tip Boards, Raffle
and some money donated. Mark your Calendar for next years derby on May 3, 2025. SEE ALL 31 WINNERS ON OUR WEBSITE.

DERBY WINNERS: Winners of this years child under 12: Catfish winner- Mary Decker 3.91 lb, Bass winner-
Jaxon Hodgkin .77 lb & Blue Gill winner- Wesson Masters .63 lb. Winners of this years Adults 12 & older: Catfish winner- Keith Holbrock 6.16 lb, Bass winner- Chris Meyers 1.70 lb & Blue Gill winner- Mike Essert 1.74 lb.(note our Blue Gill record of .84 lb back in 2007 was broken) We’ll have a picture of the record bluegill catch on our website. www.newalsaceconservationclub.com Winner of special catch: 1st tagged catfish in, open to adults and children, was Tracy Hacker 1.54 lb Raffle Winners were: 1st Mary Graf, 2nd Tommy Graf & 3rd Clint Graf.
