GUN RAFFLE DRAWING winner was Jeff Minges of the Manchester area. Thanks to all who purchased tickets.

Trustees discussed treating the pond for the massive increase of cattails on the dam side, plus doing a treatment on the invasive under growth that’s visible throughout many areas of the pond too. Members approved monies up to $400 to take action on the problems.

SCATTER BOARD No WINNER last month – still have a few to sell yet. Our club made a $50 donation to the Sunman Area Life Squad after receiving their letter of donations wanted.

IWF – We would like to thank those 9 members who continue to support NACC being an affiliate of the Indiana Wildlife Federation again this year. IWF dues were sent in after our last meeting.

EXECUTIVE BOARD SEMI-ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY, JULY 17 AT 6:30 PM.

Fishing Derby 2025 discussion was led by Dale. Presented was a cash flow of paying fisherman in 2024, along with monies spent by participants on food, tip boards, raffles and their registration. Reason being was to consider an increase of $2.00 on the Adults 12 and older to the amount of $20.00 each. Dale noted that the fee hadn’t been raised since 2007 when we went from $15 to $18. Membership approved the increase of $2.00. Dale also noted, there will be some prize awards increased too., with the hope of
attracting more fishermen to participate. This was finalized now to be ready for advertising and flyer requests that come in October for next year.

Eagle Scout Project of Dillon Rullman update: Dillon has collected $1620.00 towards his goal of $2500.00. More donations are needed! The NACC Executive Board met with Dillon and his father, Brad prior to last months meeting to review the flag pole project layout on site, which will be located at the corner of the parking lot and sidewalk. They were give a gate key to conveniently come in with supplies to start construction.

We have had several sassafras trees die that are located near the south end of the deck. We will be cutting these down, not wanting them to fall on the club house. Arbor Management will do some in-kind service in helping with the clean up of the area. So, we would like to thank member Dallas Meyer for helping us out with this task.

Habitat for the Bees, Dave and Dale completed the planting of native wildflowers of blazing star, mist flower and a few others at the bottom of the dam to create some habitat for the honey bees. Nearly 100 plugs were set in a couple weeks ago and are doing well with daily watering in this dry weather condition. We aren’t expecting any blooms this year, though a few did put buds on. Other: Could you recognize an elderberry bush blooming in the woods now? Check out our Facebook page for a helpful picture!
