NACC is looking for 15 or more children in the 5th or 6th  grade who would be interested in attending the Indiana Conservation Officer  Organization – ICOO  Karl Kelly Youth Conservation Camp, which will be held this coming summer in June 18 –    June  24   for 7 days.  NACC will select children who sign up by February 8, 2023.  The cost of the camp is paid for by NACC.  If your child, nephew, niece or grandchildren like outdoor adventure, this camp is a must for them.  It is a full week of fun that they will enjoy and remember for a long time.    You can check out their website,   www.icoo.com  where you can view past information at this time, and after the first of year, the new information will be available as in the past.   Remember  all registration must go through the NACC for us to pay.  Providing  the child’s name, a contact person and cell phone number and e-mail address are essential to enter and complete our camp forms.  CONTACT  NACC secretary, Dale Back at  backdale@gmail.com or text 812-212-2601 to register.  Don’t wait to long, we already have 10 campers on the list.

Our sympathy goes out to members Jeff & Karen Hofmann, Karen’s dad passed away.  We sent a $25 memorial donation to the family.

Our sympathy goes out to members Dale & Rhonda Back, Dale’s mother passed away. We sent a $25 memorial donation to the family.

Member Tony Kuebel had a massive fire at his home. The club sent him a $200 check to help his family through these hard times.

Late notice,  Club house was closed on Sunday, January 29, 2023 for a baby shower for the Tony Kuebel family.

January 18 Annual Executive Board meeting, to audit our books, will be reported at this meeting.

Our 35th Annual Fishing Derby is May 6.  Dale and his derby committee will begin solicitation for sponsors to support this event.  If you’re a past sponsor, check your mailbox next week for you invitation to help us out again.   New sponsors are always welcome and needed.

Members discussed options the last two meetings on putting a cover roof over the deck verses building a shelter just south of the club house front door.  Nothing has been decided as pros and cons  along with  cost are being looked at.  And cost are always changing.   A committee was formed to look at  what a 24’x 40′ pole barn style shelter was costing these days.  Dave Henlein presented a cost estimate from Manchester Metals 48, Inc.  in the amount of $10891.00 for just the structure.  We should note, bids are only good for 5 days as cost of material is constantly changing.  There would be additional cost with this structure if chosen…..
