This month our club opens nominations for the 2025 Election of officers and trustees. Nominations are being accepted at this meeting in November and the next December meeting prior to the election taking place. If you or if you know of anyone interested in serving the organization in this capacity, please come forward. We are always looking to better the organization for our members.
NACC is looking for 25 or more children in the 5th or 6th grade who would be interested in attending the Indiana Conservation Officer Organization’s – ICOO Karl Kelly Youth Conservation Camp, which will be held this coming summer in June (usually the third week) for 7 days. NACC will select children who sign up by February 1, 2025. The cost of the camp is paid for by NACC. If your child, nephew, niece or grandchildren likes outdoor adventure, this camp is a must for them. It is a full week of fun that they will enjoy and remember for a long time. You can check out their website, www.icoo.com where you can view past information at this time and after the first of year, the new information will be available, as in the past. Remember all registration must go through the NACC for us to pay. Providing the child’s name, a contact person and phone number and e-mail address are essential to enter and complete our camp forms. Our first camp out, chili cook off, clay bird shooting and corn hole tournament was a great time enjoyed by those who came. Thank you Jennifer for organizing the event. Jennifer said, not as many people came as expected, but things turned out well. It was suggested to do it again in, like one in the spring and one in the fall. Let us know what you think!!!
Golf Outing chair, Casey Gilmore said his committee has finalized this years’ outing results with a net income of $5683.88. This will allow an additional 16 children the opportunity to attend camp next year. Complete report at the meeting this month.

SCATTER BOARD WINNER-No winner last month. We still have a few openings on the board.
Our Tree Seedling Order was confirmed, and we’re getting 300 seedlings out of the 400 ordered.
DNR – November 14 ends the last comment period for the new trapping law on trapping bobcats. Then the Natural Resource Commission will formalize its’ findings and present to the State House for consideration.
RUTH LYONS COON HUNT ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 AT THE SUNMAN FISH & GAME – Treeing contest at 2 pm. Proceeds support the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund.
All Saints’ GOBBLE WOBBLE 5 K RACE on Thanksgiving Day, November 28. Proceeds support our 3 area Food Pantries.
