NACC Newsletter – October 2020

NACC’s next meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 14th , at 7 pm in the club house.   

NACC is holding its SAUSAGE AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST on Sunday, October 25th at the New Alsace American Legion Post 452.  Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am until Noon.  The menu will consist of biscuits & gravy, sausage & pancakes, home fries, eggs to order, fruit , coffee and juice.  Cost is $10.00 for adults, $4.00 for children under 10, and children under 3 eat free.  We hope you got your flier put up that was sent out last month to spread the word.

WORKERS ARE NEEDED for Breakfast on Sunday the 25th and should arrive at 6:00 am to set up and begin preparing food.  Extra help is needed and welcomed.  Also, on Saturday the 24th around noontime, we need help prepping food for Sunday.

NACC ANNUAL GUN SAFE RAFFLE -Holds up to 48 guns.   Tickets are available and will be distributed at this meeting.  The Drawing is slated to be held at our December 9th meeting.   Only 200 Tickets are being Sold!   The cost is $10.00 per ticket.   Contact Richard Kuebel, treasurer, to get your tickets.   We will also have tickets available at Klump’s Tavern.

Our 14th Annual Golf Outing was a huge success again in raising funds to send kids to the Karl E. Kelly Conservation Camp.  We hoped to have the actual report at this meeting.  Rob Seig, Chairman & George Schmeltzer, Chef  would like to thank everyone who had a hand in helping the club out that day.  Also, we want to thank all of our hole sponsors for their generous donations. And thank those winners who donated the winnings back to the cause.  We will begin soliciting for interested campers, who are in the 5th or 6th grade at our January 13, 2021 meeting.  So now is the time to see if those kids you know are interested.

Winners of the Golf Outing were:  1st Place – Shar Bischoff team, shot a 42,  2nd Place – Rick Murphy team, shot a 42 (by draw),  3rd Place – Dale Connally team, shot a 43.       Brian Wilson won the Split the Putt,  Rick Volker got Closest to pin on Prairie #9, Steve Kinnett had longest putt on Prairie #8, Abigail ___ had woman’s longest drive on Prairie #2, Jim Gubser had men’s longest drive on Prairie #2, Jay Ruthmeyer had closest to pin on Meadow #7.

NACC donated  $100 to the the The Gobble Wobble 5K ~ Feeding The Hungry Run/Walk that is being held at All Saints Parish in Dover, IN on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020 beginning at 9am.  All the profits of this event benefit our  two local, North Dearborn and Sunman Food Pantries.

Hunting seasons are open now. So be alert to your surroundings when outside doing your thing, whether it be hunting, hiking or just wandering in the fall colors of Indiana.

DNR NEWS:  Changes made to online license system portal…… Don’t wait to the last minute to buy your hunting or fishing license.  A new state online portal called Access Indiana  is used to by 18 different services, including the DNR now, which is where you must go to purchase license.    You will have to create your Access Indiana account before supplying additional DNR-specific account information.  For assistance with user names or passwords, call 800-457-8283 for Access Indiana customer support. ( The DNR is unable t assist you with this).
