NACC Newsletter – November 2022

NACC’s next meeting to be held on Wednesday, November 9, at 7 pm in the club house.

It is November, the leaves are falling, a little chill in the air and  the busy summer is behind us, but here at the conservation club we are looking for members to get more involved and make us a better club in the future.  This month  our club opens  nominations for the 2023 Election of officers and trustees. Nominations are being accepted at this meeting in November and  the next December meeting  prior to the election taking place.  If you or if you know of anyone interested in serving the organization in this capacity, please come forward.  We are always looking to better the organization for our members.

NACC is looking for 15 or more children in the 5th or 6th  grade who would be interested in attending the Indiana Conservation Officer  Organization – ICOO  Karl Kelly Youth Conservation Camp, which will be held this coming summer in June (usually the third week) for 7 days.  NACC will select children who sign up by February 1, 2023.  The cost of the camp is paid for by NACC.  If your child, nephew, niece or grandchildren like outdoor adventure, this camp is a must for them.  It is a full week of fun that they will enjoy and remember for a long time.    You can check out their website,   www.icoo.com  where you can view past information at this time and after the first of year, the new information will be available,  as in the past.   Remember  all registration must go through the NACC for us to pay.  Providing  the child’s name, a contact person and phone number and e-mail address are essential to enter and complete our camp forms.  CONTACT  NACC secretary, Dale Back at  backdale@gmail.com or text 812-212-2601 to register.  Don’t wait to long, we already have 3 campers on the list!

HAND GUN RAFFLE December 7 meeting night – We have tickets available and there are a few at Klump’s Tavern for your convenience.  This is one of three fundraisers we hold each year to raise funds to operate the club.  We need our members to support  these events to keep our club moving forward.  If you need a ticket call Dale Back, Secretary or  contact Richard Kuebel, treasurer –  Tickets are $10.00 each for a chance to win this Springfield HellCat, 9mm with Red Dot.

We would like to thank everyone who came out for the 40 year anniversary party on October 15th.  We still have some commemorative coozie cups left for members to pickup at your next visit to the club house.

Our club made a $50.00 donation to the 24th Annual Ruth Lyons Coon Hunt, where all proceeds go to the Ruth Lyons Children’s Hospital Fund.  It is held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Sunman Fish & Game at 8494 E. County Rd. 1000 N., Sunman, IN  47041. Contact Chris or Rachael Hughes for more info.812-212-3266 or 512-667-8948
