The chair position works with Co-chair, Slugger Kuebel, the dinner is chaired by George Schmeltzer, and the bills are paid by Treasurer, Richard Kuebel.  There is a great team in place for anyone who may be interested.  Contact Secretary, Dale B.

DNR  NEWS – The DNR announced hunting and fishing license fees were increased this year. Most licenses haven’t been increased since 2006.  Here are some examples: for Residents – Regular hunting was $17 now $20, Regular fishing was $17 now $23, Turkey was $25 now $32, Bird Stamp was $6.75 now $11, Deer was $24 now $39, Deer Bundle was $65 now $91.  Non-Residents regular hunting was$80 now $90, regular fishing was $35now $60, Deer was $150 now $240, Deer Bundle was $295 now $550, extra doe tag was $24 now $39, Turkey was $120 now $175.

As we all know, our license fees support a part of the DNR operations.  In 2020 the DNR collected $9.3 million in fees.  With that amount of license fees, Indiana received money back from the Federal Government to the tune of $16.8 million in 2021 to be used for wildlife and fish restoration.

Winter Activity – If you’re looking for something to do during these cold days of winter, why not build a bird house?  The club has Bird House Drawings available if your interested such as:  Eastern Blue Bird, Wood Duck, Mallard Nest Cylinder, Bat House, Barred Owl Box, American Kestrel along with Squirrel Nest Box. What a way to start thinking about spring!  Drop us a line if you would like to get a copy of these drawings to make your project easier.
